The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on all categories of commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) systems designed for radiological and nuclear monitoring that can be used at and inside the borders by law enforcement agencies. The information request is part of a joint program between DNDO and the European Commission, Directorate-General Joint Research Centre, called the Illicit Trafficking Radiation Assessment Program +10. The purpose of ITRAP+10 is to conduct an evaluation and comparison of the performance of available radiation detection equipment relevant to nuclear security. The results will provide an independent assessment of available radiation detection equipment on the market which will serve as a reference for regulatory and other authorities to identify equipment and or families of equipment to address their particular needs, and potentially to help ensure common standards on an international level. Sol. No. RFI-ITRAP-FY10. Respond by Dec. 14. Contact: Many Wylie, contract specialist, 202-254-7230, [email protected].
