Cubic Corp. [CUB] said recently that it has agreed to acquire PS Management Consultants Pty Ltd (PSMC), an Australian-based defense company in the training, simulation, communications and range safety markets, in a deal that expands its presence in Australia.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Cubic, which already operates in Australia through its Cubic Defense Australia defense systems business, said that PSMC holds several key contract vehicles through the Australian Defense Forces that give it the opportunity for greater access to expand its footprint in that country.
The deal also provides Cubic Defense Australia with a presence in that country’s capital, Canberra, where PSMC is based.
“We have worked with PSMC for many years on important Australian and U.S. programs,” Mark Horn, general manager of Cubic Defense Australia, said in a statement. “The addition of PSMC will allow us to better serve our Australian and U.S. customers and enhance our ability to address large upcoming training and simulation requirements, while establishing a presence in the national capital region.”
Cubic Defense Australia provides a range of live and collective training services to the Australian Defense Forces. The business is based in Queensland.
PSMC’s management and employees will remain with the company.
