IonQ Inc., College Park, Maryland, has been awarded a $13,414,043 firm-fixed-price contract for a contract deliverable of a Trapped Ion Quantum Computer. This contract provides for the delivery and installation of a quantum computer to be able to create quantum algorithms for applications in the Department of Defense. Work will be performed in College Park, Maryland, and is expected to be completed by Sept. 28, 2025. This award is the result of a competitive acquisition, offers were solicited electronically via an open broad agency announcement and two offers were received. Fiscal 2022 and research, development, test and evaluation funds in the amount of $11,829,455 are being obligated at time of award.
