USCIS Awards Alutiiq $47M for Services
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has awarded Alutiiq Technical Services a $46.6 million contract to provide security support services. USCIS did not provide further details on the nature of the support services. Alutiiq Technical Services is part of Alaska’s Alutiiq, LLC.
DNDO Awards Additional Contracts under BAA for Anti-Nuke Terrorism
The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) has awarded three additional contracts to CapeSym, Inc., Leidos [LDOS] and Starfire Industries under its FY ’14 Broad Agency Announcement for Exploratory Research in Preventing Nuclear and Radiological Terrorism. Leidos received $3.8 million for work entitled “Radar Container Inspection System.” Leidos is a supplier of Radiation Portal Monitors to the U.S. government. CapeSym received $2 million for work entitled “Low-Cost Industrial Production of Halide Crystals.” Starfire received $1 million. Under the BAA, DNDO recently also awarded Radiation Monitoring Devices two contracts worth over $4 million and a contract to RadiaBeam Technologies.
Army Selects Nine Awardees under $1B TIES ID/IQ Contract
The Army has selected nine companies to bid for work valued at up to nearly $1 billion under the Technical Information Engineering Services (TIES) indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity restricted suite contract. The awardees are Adams Communication & Engineering Technology, Inc., Battelle Memorial Institute, Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH], CACI International [CACI], DHPC Technologies, Inc., EOIR Technologies, Inc., Praxis Engineering Technologies, Inc., Leidos [LDOS], and Sotera Defense Solutions, Inc. Under the small business restricted suite, the awardees are Adams, DHPC, EOIR and Praxis. The potential value of the entire TIES program is $995 million. Work that will performed under TIES will span areas of interest supporting the information and intelligence mission, some of which includes biometric enabled intelligence, information warfare, information operations, and cyberspace operations.
