The FBI’s Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) Division has issued a Request for Information from industry on commercially available software applications to enable biometric capture on smart phones compatible with the Android operating system. The biometric smartphone program was approved in January and is expected to take one-year and include four phases. The FBI says $500,000 will be available to each vendor that is selected. TSA Seeks Small Business Help with Secure Flight

TSA Issues RFI for Technical and Analytical Laboratory Support

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information to improve its understanding of market capabilities and identify qualified small business vendors that are capable of providing trusted, impartial Technical and Analytical Laboratory support to the agency’s Office of Security Capabilities. BIMA Seeks Contract Vehicle for Biometric Examination Services

The Biometrics Identity Management Activity (BIMA), through the Army Contracting Command, is conducting market research for an appropriate contract vehicle for the acquisition of examination services to support biometric submissions through biometric examinations and quality assurance checks using latent, 10-print, and facial examination expertise. An eight-month contract with two one-year options is being considered. The services are required at BIMA’s facility in Clarksburg, West Virginia, for modalities that include latent to known palm and fingerprint comparisons, latent to latent palm and fingerprint comparisons, 10-print comparison, facial recognition comparisons, known palm print comparisons, and iris comparisons. Sandia Seeks Partners to Combat Threats against Small Modular Nuclear Reactors

Sandia National Laboratory has partnership opportunities for a company or companies for improvements in operations and safety of new small modular nuclear reactors. Interested companies are preferred but not required to have experience in physical security systems, cyber security, safety systems, operations, emergency planning, nuclear power plant licensing, and safeguards methodologies. Army Research Lab Plans to Solicit for Persistent Surveillance Capability

The Army Research Laboratory Sensors and Electron Devices Directorate is seeking industry feedback on a requirements package related to a planned effort for technology support that will include analysis, studies, development, design, and demonstration of innovative intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance concepts and technologies. These technologies form a holistic approach to locating terrorist networks through persistent surveillance, open source intelligence, and the identification and localization of weapons of mass destruction system and improvised explosive devices.
