The Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO) is soliciting for Basic Handheld Radioisotope Identification Device (RIID) Systems. Army Seeks CBRNE Response Equipment

The Army’s Edgewood Chemical Biological Center Engineering Directorate’s Advanced Design and Manufacturing division has issued a Request for Information chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear and explosives (CBRNE) response equipment. The division is developing a performance work statement for the rapid acquisition and support of commercial-off-the-shelf CBRN response equipment and other material that directly detects, identifies, monitors, protects, and trains individuals from the effects of CBRNE. FEMA Issues RFI for Geospatial Foundation Cloud Hosting Services

The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) on applicability and viability of using cloud computing for automated information system sharing and discovery. Currently FEMA receives massive amounts of data in a variety o f formats and from a multitude of sources and the data usually is not delivered in a manner that readily support geospatial representation and frequently dissemination of the information beyond the data owner is prohibited. Moreover, support systems often preclude the ability to share data with customers outside of government firewalls. FEMA is seeking responses to determine the capability of the market to provide current and future geospatial technical support services to suppler to support a number of capabilities. Sol. USCIS Seeks Access to Companies’ Financial Viability

The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) has issued a Sources Sought notice requesting industry input on the agency’s need for access through a web-service interface to a contractor’s system that provides real-time data whereby the contractor would provide financial viability information on companies petitioning to employ alien beneficiaries, and companies registering in the E-Verify program, used for verifying the employment eligibility of newly hired employees. USCIS would like to verify and validate the existence, location, financial viability, and current level of business operations of a company through a contract vehicle with an independent information provider to support the Validation Instrument for Business Enterprise initiative and the E-Verify program. DARPA Plans Proposer’s Day Conference for MIST Program

The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) plans to host a Technical Exchange and Proposer’s Day conference for the Military Imaging and Surveillance Technology (MIST) program, which is developing fundamentally new electro-optic sensing capabilities to be used on airborne and ground platforms for biometric and target identification applications. The MIST-Long Range element of the program focuses on long-range geometric and 3-D imaging technology that will allow for target characterization beyond the physical-aperture diffraction-limit of the receiver system. DHS Issues RFI for Biotech Development Module at NBAF

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology branch has issued a Request for Information (RFI) and Notice of Public Workshop for the planned Biotechnology Development Module (BDM) as part of the National Bio and Agro-Defense Facility (NBAF). S&T and other stakeholders are seeking information regarding utilization alternatives for the BDM, which will provide a distinct environment for scientific synergy, attract animal health industry involvement and serve to encourage public-private partnerships as countermeasures developed for agricultural bio-defense emerge from NBAF. The information obtained through the RFI will also help DHS and the U.S. Department of Agriculture better plan the scope, capacity and utilization alternatives for the BDM facility.
