TSA Issues RFI for Recompete of STIP Program

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to indentify qualified vendors that are capable of providing analysis and design of the Security Technology Integrated Program (STIP) implementation, and to accept ideas on how to efficiently and effectively procure this requirement. STIP is an agency-wide enterprise management system that connects passengers and baggage screening security technologies to one network to address current data, threat response and equipment challenges. General Dynamics [GD] currently provides STIP services as well as systems software support, training, and documentation. The contract with GD runs through May 2013 and is being recompeted. The contract began in Sept. 2010 and is valued at $17 million. In support of the recompete, the STIP Application Suite will nationally network existing and future airport security equipment, including CAT/BPSS, bottled liquid scanner, walk through metal detector, Advanced Technology X-Ray, explosive threat detectors, explosive detection systems, and advanced imaging technology. DHS S&T Issues BAA for Chemical Forensics

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology (S&T) Directorate, Chemical and Biological Division, has issued a Broad Agency Announcement (BAA) for sound scientific techniques related to supporting attribution analyses leading to the capture, indictment, and prosecution of the perpetrator or perpetrators of a criminal or terrorist act involving the actual or threatened use of chemical threat agents. Navy Seeks JWARN Software Development and Maintenance

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command has issued a pre-solicitation notice for software development and maintenance services for the Joint Project Manager for Information Systems, Joint Warning and Reporting Network (JWARN). The objective of the contract is to provide various updates to support modernization efforts of the currently fielded JWARN product baseline, carry forward the existing functionality, and develop new capabilities providing joint automated CBRN warning and reporting across the military services. CBP Issues RFI for IT Equipment

Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Information Technology, has issued a Request for Information (RFI) to help it determine the geographical ability of firms to provide a variety of IT equipment, the range of contractual vehicles available, and the business size standard of those firms. The agency as about 1,500 offices in the U.S., Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. DoD Issues Pre-Solicitation for SBIR Program for FY ‘13
