CBP Issues Pre-solicitation for CTSE; Projects 277 New Surveillance Towers

Customs and Border Protection has issued a pre-solicitation notice for its upcoming Consolidated Tower and Surveillance Equipment (CTSE) competition and plans to acquire 277 new surveillance towers in 53 Border Patrol Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and upgrade approximately 191 legacy surveillance towers in 31 AORs. The potential 14-year acquisition effort is for medium and long-range surveillance towers along the U.S. northern and southern borders to allow Border Patrol agents to continuously detect, identify, classify and track items of interest around-the-clock. The contract will have an 18-month base period, a three-year option, a five-year option, and two two-year options. The CTSE effort was previously called the Integrated Surveillance Towers program. DHS Issues Small Business Innovation Research Pre-solicitation

The Department of Homeland Security has released the pre-solicitation notice for its fiscal year 2023 Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and expects to release the final solicitation on Dec. 15 with proposals due by Jan. 17, 2023. Technical Topic Areas managed by the Science and Technology Directorate are: Accurate and real-tome hardware assisted detection of cyber attacks; Air cargo manifest analysis to aid screeners; First responder digital badges; Machine learning based integration of alarm resolution sensors; Mission critical services server-to-server communications, voice communications, 3GPP-standards; and Reduced order modeling of critical infrastructure protect surfaces. Coast Guard Issues RFP for Integrated Maintenance, Operation and Mod Support
