DHS Issues RFI for Integrated Multi Domain Enterprise
The Department of Homeland Security, under the auspices of the EAGLE Next Generation Program, has issued a Request for Information for the Integrated Multi Domain Enterprise (IMDE). DHS seeks a capability that enables the sharing of mission-critical operational data using highly tailorable access controls. The capability must provide a platform or venue for DHS and Homeland Security Enterprise mission partners to make their data available in a controlled manner to relevant mission partners as well as enable data consumers to discover and access relevant mission data using enterprise-derived, fine-grain access controls. A problem statement accompanying the RFI says that “DHS lacks the ability to federate operational data throughout the department and with its Homeland Security Enterprise mission partners in a controlled and deliberate manner.” Notice ID: 70RTAC22RFI000002. DHS Issues Solicitation for First Official Bug Bounty
The Department of Homeland Security is requesting proposals for crowdsourced vulnerability assessment services (CVAS), the formal name for its “bug bounty” program to incentivize vetted security researchers to conduct monitored penetration tests of its networks to probe for cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas last December approved the bug bounty program after a successful pilot evaluation. In March, DHS issued a Request for Information and draft performance work statement outlining its plans for the CVAS effort. Work under the upcoming indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract vehicle for CVAS and disclosure services will cover networks, systems, and information systems to include web applications, software, source code, hardware, software-embedded devices, and other technology as solicited across DHS. CBP Issues Pre-Solicitation Notice for MEA Land Interdiction
Customs and Border Protection has released a pre-solicitation notice for its planned Multirole Enforcement Aircraft Land Interdiction (MEA LI). The agency is planning a single award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract. Sierra Nevada Corp. is the current contractor for the original MEA. A draft request for proposal issued earlier this year for the MEA LI said CBP needs the capability to fly certain sensitive missions without communicating its position and identifiers in an easy to exploit manner by unauthorized observers. The agency is interested in transmitting in a pilot-selectable law enforcement mode, which would mask or inhibit the transmission of Mod S and ADS-B replies. The program will support law enforcement and emergency response with sensor-equipped aircraft for collecting, recording and transmitting real-time imagery to tactical and strategic command and control coordination centers. The earlier draft RFP said that up to mine MEA LI will be acquired. Notice ID: 20130548. Respond by June 17. Contact: Michael Hall, [email protected].
