Coast Guard Plans RFP for Third-Gen Long-Range Interceptor Cutter Boat
The Coast Guard has issued a notice that it expects to release a Request for Proposal in January or February 2022 to acquire up to 15 third-generation Long Range Interceptor cutter boats that will be deployed on the National Security Cutter fleet. The pending award is a small business set-aside. The LRI III will support various missions including search and rescue, drug interdiction, migrant interdiction, living marine resources, other law enforcement and defense readiness.
