DHS Plans Small Business Outreach Session for August

The Department of Homeland Security will host its small business vendor outreach session for August on Aug. 22 at the Homeland Security Acquisition Institute in Washington, D.C. The outreach sessions are pre-arranged 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from various components of DHS procurement offices. DHS Human Capital Office Conducting Market Research for Strategic Improvement

The Department of Homeland Security Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer has issued a Request for Information to help develop an acquisition strategy for several of its strategic initiatives. The office is updating current and target state human capital processes, data standards, and supporting business systems for the entire DHS enterprise, referred to as the Human Capital Segment Architecture Blueprint. CWMD Office Issues RFI for Handheld Trace Chem Detection Capability

The Department of Homeland Security Chemical Weapon and Mass Destruction (CWMD) Office has issued a Request for Information to help it understand the current state of mature handheld trace chemical detection technologies from commercial or interagency sources that can provide a comprehensive, cost-effective device to meet as many of its desired characteristics as possible. These characteristics include commercial-off-the-shelf, can identify trace/diluted threats including chemical warfare agents and precursors, illicit drugs, and explosive compounds and precursors, usable in extreme conditions and doesn’t require secondary screening and testing. TSA Seeks Sources for Enterprise-class Training Management System

The Transportation Security Administration has issued a Sources Sought notice to identify qualified and capable industry sources for providing an enterprise-class training management system that can automate, standardize and manage various processes, including: set up and maintenance of course curriculum templates, instructor assignments, student registration, student monitoring and progress reporting, test generation, grading and analysis, resource scheduling, real time cost control and tracking, and more.
