State Department Seeks Sources for Biometric Capture Equipment
The State Department’s Bureau of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement Affairs is conducting market research for a biometric capture device that uses commercial off-the-shelf hardware, software licensing, maintenance, and development services to attach to a Bittium Mexsat smartphone. DoD Solicits for Screening of Mail and Parcel CBRE Hazards
The Pentagon has issued a pre-solicitation notice for a planned recompete of screening of Defense Department mail and parcels for evidence of chemical, biological, radiological and explosive (CBRE) hazards. A Request for Proposal is expected to be issued in mid-March for a potential five-year contract that begins July 1. The competition is a small business set aside. Sol. No. HQ0034-18-R-0067. DHS Announces Border Security Needs
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has issued two synopses for the Border Security Technology Consortium, one a needs and opportunities announcement in support of Cell Phone Geo-location for Search and Rescue (Sol. No. BSTCNOA3) and the other is in support of Cyber Vulnerabilities of Integrated Fixed Towers and Legacy Sensor Systems (BSTCNOA2).
