Brijot Imaging Systems has introduced its new Brijot Application Software (BAS) 1.0, which provide a more user friendly graphical user interface and advanced image processing for its GEN 2 millimeter wave imaging system. Brijot says its new software produces smoother images and screen resolution and faster imaging frame rates that when combined improves image processing, display and detection. Processing improvements include the ability for the detection engine to alert on a broader range of materials such as those that absorb energy and become marginally hotter than human over time. Brijot says these “hotter than” detections are a feature that competing technologies don’t currently offer. The software also has an improved “immunity” to false positives caused by the environment, which will increase throughput by eliminating false alarm resolutions. The upgraded software also allows for monitoring of multiple GEN 2 systems on one screen, enabling the operator to observe several screening sites from a central location. The BAS 1.0 will be available early this month. Brijot also says the new software uses open architecture that makes future development and integration with other systems easier.
