*Morpho Detection, part of the Safran Group, says that Hong Kong International Airport selected it install four CTX 9400 DSi explosives detection systems, replacing the airport’s existing Morpho Detection CTX 5500 DS EDS systems. The 9400 offers higher resolution on-screen images, allowing system operators to make better and faster decisions.

*Northrop Grumman [NOC] is partnering with the Univ. of Maryland Baltimore County to create a business incubator aimed at developing technology to protect the nation from a growing range of cyber threats. The Cync partnership will offer a “scholarship program” for companies with the most promising cyber security ideas, allowing them to draw on UMBC’s research expertise and Northrop Grumman’s resources to develop tools that will secure and protect the computer hardware, software and networks vital to national defense. The program will accept applications from high-potential, early-stage companies across the country looking to commercialize and develop their technologies.
