Leidos [LDOS] has received a three-month $1.5 million contract extension from the Department of Homeland Security to provide system engineering and technical assistance Office of Cyber Security and Communications’ Office of Emergency Communications for the Next Generation Networks Priority Services and Priority Telecommunications Services Programs. The programs provide telecommunications services for the National Security and Emergency Preparedness user community’s use during natural or man-made disasters when conventional communication services are ineffective.

Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] has received a one-month $575,918 task order from the Department of Homeland Security Science & Technology Directorate, First Responder Group to continue providing systems engineering and technical assistance under the SETA II contract. DHS S&T is in the process of recompeting its SETA services.

Identity Strategy Partners, LLP, a new consulting firm is in business with founding partners Mark Crego and Janice Kephart. The firm says it is designed to fill a critical niche in technical and policy expertise in the identity market. Crego previously worked at Accenture and was the chief architect of the US-VISIT identity management program for the Department of Homeland Security. Kephart most recently worked for Safran Group’s Morpho identity solutions business and was the founder of the Secure Identity and Biometric Association.
