Implant Sciences [IMSC] has signed its second one-year Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA) with the Department of Homeland Security’s Transportation Security Laboratory to use the company’s QS-B220 desktop explosive trace detector to gather information that can then be used by Implant to develop next-generation trace detection technology.

has signed a seven-month, $841,000 contract with United Technologies Corp. [UTX] to support the Air Force’s Joint United States Forces Korea Portal and Integrated Threat Recognition program. The program will test and evaluate PositiveID’s M-BAND biological detection and identification technology to baseline performance, availability and maintainability. The contract is with UTC Aerospace Systems ISR & Space Systems unit.

Sava Workforce Solutions has received two contract bridge extensions from the FBI to continue to provide operation and information technology (IT) support to the Terrorist Screening Center. The operations support bridge is for $2.1 million and the IT support work is for $4.1 million.
