MOD-2 Systems, LLC, has received a $1.7 million contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency for a project dubbed Cyber Prism. The award was made under DARPA’s Information Innovation Office Broad Agency Announcement 12-29.
Northeastern Univ. has received a potential $706, 136 research contract from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency under the Methods for Explosive Detection at Standoff (MEDS) program. The program takes a multidisciplinary approach to rapidly develop and demonstrate non-contact methods to detect explosives embedded or packaged in opaque media with high water content. The award has a $467,755 base value with a $238,381 option. DARPA has also awarded MEDS contract to BAE Systems, Quasar Federal Systems, and the Univ. of Arizona.
The Transportation Security Administration has awarded two task orders to Morpho Detection, Inc. (MDI), worth a combined $832,352 for work related to Explosive Detection Systems (EDS) the company has supplied the agency. The largest order, $672,582, is to conduct follow-on testing and evaluation for the first article CTX 9800 Medium Speed EDS at the agency’s Systems Integration Facility. The other order, worth $159,770, is for services and materials necessary to reconfigure 27 CTX 9000 Medium Speed EDS systems at Seattle Tacoma International Airport.
