Booz Allen Hamilton [BAH] said it is one of the major contractors that will support the Maneuver Center of Excellence (MCoE) at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.
Booz Allen is one of seven large contractors issued an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity award totaling $458 million, which has a one-year base period and four option years, a company statement said.
The contract was initially awarded Oct. 18, and included companies such as L-3 [LLL] and Northrop Grumman [NOC].
Fort Benning and the Maneuver Center provide agility and readiness training for Army soldiers and leaders.
Under the terms of the contract, Booz Allen will expand its current work with the MCoE to include general technical and analytical support, training development support, doctrine development support, capability development support, training instruction support, simulations and analysis support and support services at Fort Benning.
Federal legislation mandated consolidation of the Army Armor School and Center and the Army Infantry School and Center to form the MCoE at Fort Benning.
“Fort Benning is a critical location for the U.S. Army, and will be for the foreseeable future,” said Keith Catanzano, vice president, Booz Allen. “This contract will support a vital U.S. Army training facility by deploying infrastructure and supporting services as Ft. Benning and the Maneuver Center of Excellence continue to grow and serve more and more warfighters.”
In 2004, Booz Allen established a presence at Fort Benning, providing support to the Maneuver Battle Lab and Army Experimentation.
