The Army Research and Development Command has selected 10 firms to compete for task orders under a potential five-year, $485 million contract to provide CBRNE mission support to the Edgewood Chemical Biological Center (ECBC) in Aberdeen, Md. The selectees are: Battelle; Booz Allen Hamilton; Camber Corp.; ITT Corp. [ITT]; Midwest Research Institute; Northrop Grumman [NOC] Space & Mission Systems Group; Science Applications International Corp. [SAI]; Science and Technology Corp.; SciTech Services Inc.; and Teledyne Technologies [TDY] Teledyne Brown Engineering. Potential customers under the contract include ECBC, the DoD Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical and Biological Defense and its various project offices, the Army Chemical Materials Agency, the Assembled Chemical Weapons Assessment Program manager, the 20th Support Command, the Departments of Homeland Security and Health and Human Services, the FBI, and the Army Medical Research Institute for Chemical Defense.
