General Dynamics [GD] was awarded a $155 million five-year ordering period task order by the Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) to manage enterprise communications for Defense Department Combatant Commands and subordinate units, the company said Feb. 21.
The award was made under the Enterprise Communications Services 2 (ECS2) contract under the DIA’s Enhanced Solutions for the Information Technology Enterprise (E-SITE) multiple award, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract vehicle.
Under the award GD will manage and expand the secure voice, video, and data services required by the Combatant Commands and subordinate units. Work will be performed in the National Capital Region in addition to major service centers, operating locations, customer facilities, and global field sites.
“General Dynamics Information Technology will continue to provide exceptional mission and customer support to sustain and expand to the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System,” Bernie Guerry, senior vice president of the intelligence solutions division of GD’s information technologies business unit, said in a statement.
GD previously has provided network design, engineering implementation, and maintenance support services to DIA for the Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System.
