Culmen International on Tuesday said it has acquired Centrifuge Systems, adding capabilities in data integration and visualization software.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Combined with Centrifuge, Culmen has more than 250 employees.
Culmen and Centrifuge are both based in Northern Virginia. Culmen has capabilities in global procurement and logistics support, Internet of Things, training and language services, agile software engineering, program management and operational technical support.
“At the core of the latest acquisition are highly valuable data analytics capabilities that will allow Culmen to further expand its technology and services solutions in big data discovery, advanced analytics, geospatial intelligence and link analysis,” Dan Berkon, founder and CEO of Culmen, said in a statement. “Centrifuge has a proven history of supporting the intelligence community, Defense Department, Homeland Security, civilian, state and local agencies, and commercial organizations’ critical missions, from detecting cyber threats to uncovering fraud, insider threats, health risks and beyond.
Culmen said that Centrifuge will be part of its Technology Solutions Division. Centrifuge was a portfolio company of the private equity firm
Novak Biddle Venture Partners, which invested $4.5 million in the company in 2008.
