TSA Plans Industry Day Advanced ETD

The Transportation Security Administration will host an Industry Day on Oct. 24 and 25 to receive presentation from performers on Broad Agency Announcement 13-03 Advanced Explosive Trace Detection (ETD) Instrumentation and Methodologies, and sponsored researchers who are exploring fundamental science related to contact and non-contact sampling and characterizing trace explosive threats. TSA expects government attendees from the agency, the Department of Homeland Security Transportation Security Lab and Homeland Security Advanced Research Projects Agency, and other DHS components and government agencies. TSA Releases Latest Version for EDS Guidelines and Standards

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has released the revised Planning Guidelines and Design Standards (PGDS) for Checked Baggage Inspection Systems Version 6.0. The agency says that for the latest version more than 370 industry comments were reviewed and adjudicated. It includes, at industry’s request, a key changes table to help identify the most significant changes and its location in the document.
