The Intelligence and National Security Alliance (INSA) yesterday said it is appointing six new members to its Board of Directors and five new members to its Board of Advisers to join new Board Chairman Amb. John Negroponte and other board members.

These appointees will bring INSA a wealth of expertise and leadership from their careers in industry, government and academia across the intelligence and national security communities, the non-profit and non-partisan organization said in a statement.

“As the new Chairman of the Board, I was drawn to INSA because it is a trusted, respected and credible resource and venue for professionals in the intelligence and national security community,” Negroponte said.

New members of the 2013 Board of Directors are:  DeEtte Gray, president, Intelligence & Security (I&S) Sector, BAE Systems;  Bernard Guerry, senior vice president of Operations and General Manager of National Intelligence, General Dynamics-Information Technology [GD] ;  Deborah Oliver, executive vice president and COO, The SI Organization Inc.; Kathy Pherson, CEO, PherOOon Associates, LLC;  Tim Reardon, president, Intelligence, Lockheed Martin [LMT] Information Systems and Global Solutions; and Allan Sonsteby, associate director, Applied Research Laboratory, Pennsylvania State University.

The six new members of the Board of Directors will join the nine current members for a three-year term.  

The INSA Board of Advisers has 19 members, including five new members: Michael Johnson, chief scientist, Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A), U.S. Department of Homeland Security; Al Munson, Senior Fellow, Potomac Institute for Policy Studies;  Michael Rodrigue, deputy Director, National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency; Peter Seegers, Partner, PricewaterhouseCoopers; and Hal Smith, vice president and general manager, North American Public Sector, CSC [CSC].
