Jeremy Grant is the Emerging Technologies Analyst for Stanford Group Company’s Washington Research Group, which provides political, economic and industry research for institutional and corporate investors. His work focuses on the burgeoning Identity Solutions industry, which is rapidly merging the biometrics, identity management, authentication and access control (both physical and logical) sectors. His research discusses software, equipment, database, and systems integrator companies in each of these sectors.
Mr. Grant has a decade of experience in the biometrics and identity business, both in industry and government. Prior to joining Stanford Group, Mr. Grant was Vice President in the Intelligent Technologies Division of MAXIMUS, Inc., where he led the division’s Security and Identity Management practice. In this position, he played a major role in a number of the federal government’s largest identity management programs. Mr. Grant previously worked on these initiatives as a policy advisor in the U.S. Senate, where he drafted the legislation which catalyzed the Department of Defense and GSA smart card programs. He is also a former co-chair of the Identity Management Task Group at the Information Technology Association of America (ITAA).
A recognized expert in expert in smart card, biometric and identification systems, and the policy issues which surround their implementation, Mr. Grant has been cited in publications such as Forbes, Business Week, Federal Computer Week and the Washington Post, and has appeared on CNBC, Fox News and CBS. He has a B.S from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
