VT Group has acquired National Technologies Associates, Inc. (NTA), a provider of sustainment and test support for military aviation, adding new platforms for the company to participate on.

Terms of the deal, which was announced last week, were not disclosed.

NTA is based in Patuxent River, Md., and has capabilities in program management, engineering, and logistics services for military aviation, in particular around mission-critical C4ISR systems. VT Group said the NTA deal positions it to support some key programs, including the Navy’s Presidential Helicopter and the Marine Corps’ V-22 Osprey tiltrotor programs.

“This acquisition adds unique and differentiated expertise to VT Group’s aviation solutions portfolio,” John Hassoun, president and CEO of Northern Virginia-based VT Group, said in a statement. “It will be a force multiplier for our customers and a catalyst for further growth.”

Sunil Ramchand, VT Group’s chief growth officer, said in a statement that “The acquisition of NTA is another important step on our journey to become the industry leader in the C4ISR modernization and sustainment market.”

NTA also provides intelligence solutions to the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence, and Special Operations Command, and provide logistics readiness support services to the Army.

VT Group’s strategic advisor on the deal was Arena Strategic Advisors, LLP.
