The Air Force and United Launch Alliance (ULA) on Wednesday successfully launched a National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) satellite called NROL-45, according to a service statement.

Launch took place at 6:40 p.m. EST from Vandenberg AFB, Calif., on a Delta IV Medium configuration rocket.

ULA is a joint venture of Lockheed Martin [LMT] and Boeing [BA].
