The U.S. Air Force awarded Technica Corporation a task order with a ceiling of $22 million to provide various networking and cybersecurity support, the company said Wednesday.
The task order is under the NETCENTS – 2 Network Operations Small Business contract. Technica is set to provide airborne networking; systems, processes, and operations; and network defense to support cyber readiness and cybersecurity to the Combined Air Operations Center- Experimental (CAOC-X) at Langley AFB, Va.
The CAOC-X tests next generation weapons and operating systems that are deployed across Air, Space, Joint, and Combines Air Operations Centers worldwide. The contract has a base year value of almost $4 million and three option years to bring the total contract ceiling value up to $22 million.
Technica is working with Phantom Eagle for sub-contracting support, a company which has had experience with CAOC since 2006. The company said their team will enhance operational efficiency and bring innovations to uphold and improve mission assurance including upgrading data storage infrastructure with enhanced virtualized capability; predictive data analytics to mitigate cyber vulnerabilities and provide end-to-end enterprise intelligence; and standardizing system management processes for more efficient and effective reporting.
“Technica will ensure mission readiness and assurance to the critical networks and systems vital to the U.S. Air Force and national security. The Combined Air Operations Center provides the command and control of airpower throughout Iraq, Afghanistan and 18 other nations, and we are proud to support missions worldwide,” Technica president and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Miguel Collado said in a statement.
