The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has awarded contract extensions to both CPS Human Resource Services and Accenture [ACN] potentially worth $58 million and $48 million respectively for one year to provide continuity of human resources services as the agency continues to procure a new contract for these same services. The contract extensions have a three month base period and three, three-month options. TSA initiated a new procurement process in January under the Integrated Hiring Operations & Personnel Program and had been expected to award a new contract in July. Nearly 30 firms had expressed an interest in bidding. Excluding the contract extensions, the value of CPS’ contract through December is worth $570 million and Accenture’s is worth $281 million.
