The pending sales includes six missiles, including one exercise missile, as well as related containers, spares, support and test equipment.

The Pentagon’s Defense Security Cooperation Agency (DSCA) said that the missiles, which the government has acquired before, will be used on the Thai navy’s DW3000-class frigate and help the country defend critical sea lanes. The agency said the sale will also strengthen the U.S. relationship with Thailand.

DSCA said it notified Congress of the possible sale on Aug. 9.
