The State Department has approved three foreign military sales (FMS), including a $1.2 billion deal with the Netherlands for support to upgrade 28 AH-64D Block II Apache Attack Helicopters to the AH-64E configuration.

The Defense Security Cooperation Agency notified Congress of the proposed FMS on Tuesday, which includes requests for 51 new engines, seventeen Fire Control Radar, 28 AN/ASQ-170 Modernized Target Acquisition and Designation SightsAN/AAR-11 Modernized Pilot Night Vision Sensors and 70 new GPS systems needed for its Apache helicopter upgrades.

  Boeing [BA] and Lockheed Martin [LMT] are the prime contractors for the deal.

State Department officials also approved two new deals with Kuwait and the Finland.

Kuwait has purchased 15 fast patrol boats outfitted with .50 caliber machine guns for $100 million.

The prime contractor for the deal is Kvichak, a subsidiary of Vigor Industrial.

Finland has purchased four Mk41 Baseline VII strike-length vertical launch systems for $70 million, which it intended to use for its new construction corvettes.

Lockheed Martin is the prime contractor for the deal with Finland.
