QinetiQ North America (QNA) on Tuesday said it has appointed Jeff Yorsz as its new president, replacing former president Andrew Rogers, who had been with the company since 2005 and had led it since April 2014.

Yorsz most recently was at Northrop Grumman [NOC], where he was general manager of Adaptive Optics Associates (AOA), which develops electro-optical and opto-mechanical systems. QNA said that Yorsz drove significant growth and the transformation of AOA during difficult market conditions.

“Mr. Yorsz has a wealth of experience and demonstrated successes in the government and commercial markets,” Len Moodispaw, chairman of QNA, said in a statement.

Yorsz said in a statement that he looks forward to continuing QNA’s “tradition of innovation with our present customers and also leveraging it to invigorate our non-defense activities.”

QNA did not say why Rogers is no longer with the company.

QNA is part of Britain’s QinetiQ.
