QinetiQ North America (QNA), a division of Britain’s QinetiQ, has introduced four new offerings to help federal agencies improve their cyber security. The offerings include a training course called Cyber Safety 101, teaches how online criminals, scammers, adversaries and hackers exploit technologies, systems, and users in the cyber universe. The Cyber Risk and Vulnerability Assessment is a “red team” offering to help identify an organization’s threats, risks and vulnerabilities from an enemy’s perspective. QNA is also offering Malware discovery, aimed at preventing access to dangerous URLs and web sites. Finally, Comprehensive Malware Awareness allows for a detailed behavioral analysis of malware that has been discovered, including what it does, how it affects infected systems, whom it talks to and where it talks, allowing agencies to better develop actions to minimize potential vulnerabilities. “Many organizations are grappling with how to assure they can accomplish their mission even under cyber attack,” says Joe Broadwater, executive vice president for Intelligence, Security and Space at QNA’s Mission Solutions Group. “We have a set of affordable, quickly deployable services that will enable any agency to get a head start on cyber security.”
