Pat Penland Joins Meta Special Aerospace as Senior Director of Business Development

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla., April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Meta Special Aerospace (MSA), a global C3ISR provider of customized aircraft modifications for commercial and government applications, welcomes Pat Penland as Senior Director of Business Development.

Penland joins MSA with 40 years of combined experience as a military intelligence officer, systems and project engineer and program manager within the C3ISR market. His proven ability to assemble and guide teams to delivery of high quality products has consistently resulted in projects that complete on time and within budget. His skill as a relationship manager with senior executives, customer leaders, and industry teammates will be a key contribution to MSA’s business development efforts.

In his role with MSA, Penland will represent the company to senior military decision makers and customers as well as industry clients and partners in the United States and overseas. Besides serving as a principal customer interface, he will identify growth initiatives, assist in developing and implementing capture strategies, and recognize and execute teaming and sub-contracting opportunities.

Prior to joining industry, Penland served 11 years as a United States Army military intelligence officer. During his military career he was assigned as a tactical intelligence officer with the 4th Infantry Division, chief of intelligence collection and analysis with V Corps and a cryptologic intern with the National Security Agency. Penland then transitioned into 28 years of industry experience with E-Systems, Raytheon and L3 Technologies, starting as a system engineer and culminating as a Vice President of program management. Throughout his career, his focus has been the integration of advanced C3ISR sensors, processors, and communications into special mission aircraft and associated ground stations.

Penland earned a Bachelor of Science degree in National Security and Public Affairs at the United States Military Academy at West Point.
