Chromalloy Awarded Multi-Year U.S. Navy Contract to Repair LM2500 Gas Turbine Engine Components

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., June 13, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Chromalloy, a leader in gas turbine engine component repair, advanced coatings, manufacturing and asset management, announced today the award of a firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity services contract for the repair and refurbishment of LM2500 high pressure turbine hot section parts for the U.S. Navy. Chromalloy will perform inspections of all Navy-provided LM2500 components for serviceability, and use industry-best practices to assess the parts for reparability. The repairs include water flow inspections, cleaning and stripping of airfoil coating, and employing weld and braze buildup processes to return worn or damaged parts to new part dimensional measurements.

This contract was competitively procured via the Federal Business Opportunities website, with multiple proposals submitted, by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Division, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
