Polaris Alpha, which created nearly a year ago through the combination of three small companies, on Monday said it has acquired Solidyn Solutions, adding capabilities in support of space and C4ISR solutions.

Terms of the deal, which closed on Sept. 27, were not disclosed. Polaris is based in Colorado Springs, Colo., and Solidyn is in Denver.

“This acquisition enables Polaris Alpha to significantly strengthen its reach in the space and C4ISR markets for military and intelligence customers,” Peter Cannito, CEO of Polaris, said in a statement. “Solidyn is deeply embedded within the intelligence community, one of our main areas of focus, and will enhance our relationships with customers in that domain.”

Solidyn provides solutions and technology in systems engineering, program and product support, software and hardware development, information technology, cloud computing, information assurance, and 3-D modeling.

Solidyn’s senior executives will become part of the executive management team at Polaris.

More than 90 percent of Solidyn’s employees hold high-level security clearances.

Polaris has about 1,300 employees. Polaris is a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, which created the company last fall through the combination of EOIR Technologies, Intelligent Software Solutions, and PROTEUS Technologies.
