The Air Force awarded Northrop Grumman [NOC] a $964 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) ground subsystems support, the Defense Department said on Wednesday.

The support work is to include sustainment engineering, technical assistance, and program management services for ground subsystems. The program management services include sustainment, assessment, system modification, and technical support, DoD said.

Work is to be performed at Hill AFB, Utah; Vandenberg AFB, California; Malmstrom AFB, Mont.; Minot AFB, N.D; F.E. Warren AFB, Wyo., Offutt AFB, Neb.; Colorado Springs, Colo.; and Needham, Mass. It is expected to be finished by Jan. 31, 2020.

Fiscal year 2015 operations and maintenance funds of over $4 million are being obligated at the time of award. The award was the result of a competitive acquisition that had two offers received.
