ManTech International [MANT] yesterday said it has acquired the small firm DDK Technology Group, Inc., bolstering its capabilities in cyber security and information technology support.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed. ManTech said that DDK, which is a small veteran owned business, is expected to generate $14 million in sales this year.
Maryland-based DDK provides cyber intelligence analysis, computer and network forensics and counterterrorism and counterintelligence support and analysis. One of its key customers is the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS). All of DDK’s employees have high level security clearances.
According to its Web site, DDK won a five-year, $15.3 million contract in November 2006 from the Navy to provide senior program analysts to enhance program and operational support services with all aspects of the Navy’s counterintelligence and counterterrorism mission.
“This acquisition continues ManTech’s focus on the high-end intelligence arena and expands our footprint in cyber security to NCIS,” George Pedersen, ManTech’s chairman and CEO, said in a statement. “DDK is a great company with a proven track record of strong growth, profitability, and commitment to customer service.”
ManTech expects the acquisition to be accretive to earnings this year. The deal was financed with available cash and borrowings from its credit facility.
