Kaspersky Lab and LogMeIn, Inc. announced a new partnership on Tuesday that provides customers of LogMeIn Central Premier with a complimentary license for Kaspersky Endpoint Security for Windows [MSFT].

The companies plan to create an integration between the two offerings managed through a centralized dashboard within Central Premier. The customers will be able to view and manage anti-virus status for all computers and workstations as well as provide patch updates to third party software like Adobe, Chrome, and Java.

LogMeIn said this will allow information technology (IT) managers and managed service providers (MSPs) to use a solution that combines IT automation and malware protections into one tool.

“We believe that this integration with Kaspersky Lab security solutions will take Central from a value-based remote management tool to a complete automation tool with improved insight and new functionality designed to remediate those security issues, supplying our customers with the most reliable management and automation software to keep their computers up and running,” Jonathan Borthwick, senior director of products, IAM at LogMeIn, said in a statement.

LogMeIn Central gives IT professionals the ability to remotely monitor and manage computers in their purview. Kaspersky Endpoint Security includes security for workstations and also defends against viruses and malware. Under the new partnership Kaspersky’s anti-malware software will be able to be installed directly from the Central anti-virus dashboard onto multiple endpoints without user interruption, LogMeIn said.

Kaspersky’s product will become integrated into Central Premier accounts in a beta launch at the end of August, with full integration expected in September. Third party patch management will also be available in Central Premier with an expected launch point of early 2017, LogMeIn said.
