Lockheed Martin [LMT] last month said it agreed to acquire Universal Systems & Technology, Inc. (UNITECH), which provides training and simulation systems as well as information technology (IT) services.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Lockheed Martin said the acquisition will strengthen its training and mission readiness offerings.

UNITECH, which is based in Northern Virginia, provides solutions to all four branches of the United States military, the Coast Guard, Department of Homeland Security, and other U.S. and international government agencies.

The transaction is expected to close early this year subject to regulatory reviews. UNITECH has more than 400 employees and will report to Lockheed Martin’s Simulation, Training and Support division.
