The NATO Communications and Information (NCI) Agency awarded a contract worth up to $77 million to Leidos [LDOS] to provide systems engineering and integration support for the Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) Program Office, the company said on Thursday.
The single-award firm-fixed-price contract is worth $77 million if all options are exercised. This includes a four-year base period of performance with two one-year options in addition to one seven-month option.
Leidos will join eight other teammates from Canada, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Turkey, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
Under the contract, Leidos and its eight teammates will support the BMD program office working together as an integrated product team to deliver NATO BMD capability. This includes development of requirements for BMD enhancements to the NATO C3 systems, including the refinement and maintenance of the NATO BMD architecture.
“The team will also support the design, development, and test of the interfaces of these systems to NATO and national weapons and sensors. They will also be responsible for the continued operation and periodic upgrade of the Integration Test Bed and system prototypes used in the test bed,” Leidos said.

This BMD System Engineering, Integration and Test contract is a follow-on to the Active Layer Theater Ballistic Missilde Defense (ALTBMD) contract.
Contract work is to be performed in The Hague, Netherlands.
