L-1 Receives $17M to Fingerprint California Daycare Workers

L-1 Identity Solutions [ID] received a three-year, $17 million contract from the California Department of Social Services to process and enroll more than 300,000 daycare workers. Under California licensing regulations, daycare workers are required to have a criminal record clearance, which includes fingerprinting. Last month L-1 announced two other contracts worth a potential $31.3 million. For South Carolina, L-1 will provide digital fingerprinting services for civil applicants statewide under a potential seven-year, $30 million contract. Under a $1.3 million contract with the Turkish National Police, L-1 will provide TouchPrint Enhanced Definition 4100 Slap and Roll Live Scan digital fingerprint devices for criminal booking and civilian enrollment applications.
