The Air Force awarded Kudu Dynamics, LLC a $7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee contract for research and development for transparent computing last week.

The contractor development is to work to enable the prompt detection of advanced persistent threats and other cyber threats and allow complete root cause analysis and damage assessment once adversary activity is identified.

Work is to be performed at Catharpin, Va., with an expected completion date of Aug. 30, 2019.

The award was the result of a competitive acquisition with 51 received offers.

Fiscal 2015 research and development funds of over $500,000 were obligated at the time of award. The contracting activity is Air Force Research Laboratory, Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio.

Kudu Dynamics is a small, privately held company that focuses on computer and network security.
