KBR, the former division of the energy services company Halliburton [HAL], has created a Government, Defense and Infrastructure Business Group, to better represent its capabilities to customers, in particular in defense.

The new group essentially adds the defense component to the previous Government and Infrastructure Business. The group will serve customers in North America, the Middle East, the United Kingdom and Australia.

KBR has supported United States peacekeeping forces in Bosnia and provides services to the U.S. Army in Iraq under the Logistics Civil Augmentation Program III award, the company’s largest defense services contract. The company is the largest supplier to the Army and also provides services to the Army Corps of Engineers.

On the International defense front, KBR is the largest services provider to the British military in theater and is a top 10 supplier to both the U.S. Defense Department and the U.K. Ministry of Defence.

With the creation of the new group, KBR announced several appointments. Bill Bodie has been appointed senior vice president, North American Government and Defense. Colin Elliot has been appointed senior vice president, Infrastructure and Minerals. And Andrew Pringle has been appointed senior vice president, International Government and Defence.
