Kaney Aerospace on Wednesday said it has acquired BVR Technologies from Esterline Corp. [ESL], adding actuation and motion control subsystems to its product line.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

BVR supplies a range of aerospace gear products, utility actuators, and flight control servos for use on commercial and military aircraft. Kaney and BVR are both based in Rockford, Ill.

“BVR complements and significantly adds to Kaney Aerospace’s engineering expertise in test equipment, system engineering and product development, as well as expanding our FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Part 145 repair station capabilities,” Ron Soave, president of Kaney, said in a statement. The experience and excellence of our combined workforce, along with BVR’s established motion control, indication and sensing products, provides a roadmap for growth that we are confident will be immediate and steady.”

Kaney said that following the acquisition it has more than 120 employees and annual sales above $20 million. The company’s customers include Boeing [BA], Brazil’s Embraer, General Electric’s [GE] Aviation business, Honeywell [HON], Rockwell Collins [COL], Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] Sikorsky division, Stryker Medical, United Technologies [UTX], and Woodward.
