Kaman Corp. [KAMN] Monday said its Aerosystems division would continue making helicopter components for Bell Helicopter Textron [TXT] under a five-year contract that could be worth more than $25 million.
Kaman will manufacture skin and skin to core components for the Bell UH-1Y and AH-1Z helicopters at its Composite Structures facility in Bloomfield, Conn.
“We are proud to have been awarded this follow-on contract from Bell Helicopter. We began supplying these components in 2010 and we are delighted to continue this relationship,” said Tim Bates, general manager, Kaman Composite Structures-Connecticut & Vermont Division. “Kaman has now secured long-term commitments to supply Bell with skin and skin to core components for both their commercial and military rotor requirements.”
