Kaman Aerospace Corp. [KAMN] will maintain its role as manufacturer of the cockpits for H-60 Black Hawk Helicopters following the agreement of a new five-year agreement with Lockheed Martin’s [LMT] Sikorsky aircraft manufacturer.

Kaman, who announced the deal on July 17, will continue to deliver the cockpits for Sikorsky’s UH-60M Black Hawk and HH-60M MEDEVAC helicopters. Since 2004, Kaman has delivered over 1,200 H-60 cockpits to Sikorsky and has been responsible for final assembly, detail metal part manufacturing, and procurement of wiring harnesses, flight control mechanisms and composite parts.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Sikorsky for another five years,” Kaman Corporation President and CEO Neal Keating said in a statement. “Sikorsky is a longstanding customer and we are proud of the confidence they have placed in us as a key supplier on the H-60 program. Kaman is honored to be Sikorsky’s primary supplier of American made H-60 cockpits in support of U.S. Armed Forces and allied militaries around the world”

Under the new contract, Kaman will also take on responsibility for installing specified flight safety items for the helicopters. Construction will continue to take place at its Jacksonville, Florida facility.
