The Robotic Systems Joint Program Office has awarded ICx Technologies [ICXT] a $4.8 million contract to provide Fido XT handheld explosives detectors and related technical services for use in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. “This award is another vote of confidence from the armed forces using our systems,” says Colin Cumming, president of ICx Detection and the company’s chief technology officer. In addition to hardware, the award also covers training services at the ICx test and training range.
