The Department of Health and Human Services is seeking information from qualified organizations with the core capability to provide mass or individual decontamination of victims within the National Capital Region (NCR) contaminated by chemical, biological or radiological agents; provide medial care and or stabilization of these victims; assist in triage and treatment before and after decontamination, provide technical assistance to local EMS officials, and pre-deploy when directed as a result of a credible or potential terrorist threat. Currently the Arlington, Va., County Fire Department is contracted through Dec. 18, 2009, to provide a weapons of mass destruction response in the NCR. Sol. No., NDMS-01. Respond by Aug. 17.
