General Dynamics [GD] said on Tuesday its Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions will be using Carbon Black to help customers detect and repair data breaches.

General Dynamics Fidelis was already an original partner of the “Bit9 + Carbon Black Connect” Alliance Program, which involves Bit9 supporting and providing certification of vendor interoperability to create better end-to-end protection against advanced cyber threats.

“Our expanded participation in the ‘Bit9 + Carbon Black Connect’ Alliance better equips our team to help customers quickly detect, contain and remediate active breaches,” Peter George, president of Fidelis Cybersecurity Solutions, said in a statement. Carbon Black supplements efforts to identify and contain cyber attacks through continuous monitoring and recording of all activity on endpoints and servers, decreasing the time between detection and repair.

Tom Barsi, the vice president of business development at Bit9 + Carbon black, said the combination of GD Fidelis’ Network Detection and Forensics (NDF) team and Carbon Black’s “innovative ability to detect and respond to endpoint threats provides customers with a unique defense against cyber attacks,”
