Mr. Tim Vinopal

At Boeing, Mr. Vinopal is chief engineer, Environment, Health and Safety. In this role, Vinopal is responsible for developing the IDS environmental engineering strategy and ensuring it is implemented across Boeing’s diverse programs and services while meeting Boeing’s supplier and customer needs.
As an integral member of both the IDS Engineering and Boeing EHS leadership teams, Vinopal also is responsible for developing an enterprisewide plan for environmental technology research efforts.
Prior to joining Boeing’s EHS team in 2007, Vinopal served as chief engineer and director of the systems engineering and integration team for the Airborne Early Warning and Control (AEW&C) program, where he led the overall technical integration of the surveillance, communications and battle management systems.
In 2001, Vinopal joined Connexion by Boeing as Systems Engineering leader, and in 2004, was named director of Engineering for the worldwide high-speed network for mobile platforms. While there, he led the development of satellite communication and onboard network solutions for mobile platforms ranging from commercial 747 airplanes to cruise ships to U.S. Army Stryker vehicles.
